Did you watch the video from my previous post? Are you about to setup your own dashboard? My dashboard holds feeds from 4 sites I like, then there is twitter, facebook, yourIM in one, things to do, google calendar, word of the day, youtube gadgets and more. You can minimize and expand the gadgets and also share with other igoogle users. No doubt my dashboard will evolve over time. If you like this, you may want to check out google docs too.

Ever want just one page to hold all your favorite pages in one? The holy grail page when your time poor. Well here it is, the igoogle dashboard which you can customize to suit the user. I recently came across igoogle while chatting to my neighboring work colleague. I wanted a way to simplify the userface but also customise and target different users so I can create interest for that particular user, encourage the user to embrace technology along with showing them the potential of the internet specific to their interests. Guess what, it worked like a charm for my dad. I created him an igoogle account, made it his homepage and added gadgets he would like – such as his gmail account, weather gadget, bookmark gadget that held sites of his interest, google earth gadget, google map gadget, philosophic quotes gadget, youtube gadget etc. View the video above and see how easy it is to setup.
